Join us as we honor Dr. Tony Burgess and his lifetime contributions to agave science! Dr. Burgess will give his Howard Scott Gentry Memorial lecture, “Thinking like an agave, reckoning with global change.” Burgess will cover a brief summary of Agave evolution, adaptation to aridity, and a way to analyze climate from an Agave’s perspective. He will also discuss global change threats to Agave welfare and suggestions to celebrate Agave and promote their continuing evolution.
